About Trustees:

Rev. Edwin Walter

(Chairman)

An affectionate student of Rev S. A. Salins at KTC. He became the Chairman after Bishop S R Frutado.

Rev. Walter was Karnataka Secretary of SCM and CISRS in 1970’s and this had led him to involve in Social Concerns in the Diocese later. “Faith Should reflect in action” he emphasized. His interest enabled him to establish a department called Relief Development in the KSD particularly for social concerns and emergency relief. He was able to create contacts both national and international development agencies for resources for the developmental activities in the Diocese out of which CCF was the main supporting body for family helper project in the Diocese (for about 3000 families).

Rev. Edwin Walter was the treasurer of the KSD from 2001-05 during his period he was able to initiate people’s participation in the affairs of the church particularly in finance and administration. He is also the active member of Lions Club Mangalore Kankandy Padil.

Mr. Gunakar Salins

(Executive Trustee / Secretary)

The Present Executive Trustee is Mr. Gunakar Salins, who has taken up the responsibility of Rev. S. A. Salins after his Demise.

Mr. Gunakar Salins is basically a graduate of Hebich Technical Training Institute. He occupied a piece of land and started his own Nursery. He is now a full-fledged agriculturist with full-fledged Nursery supplying many kinds of plants to the Village People

Mr. Alwyn Amanna

(Trustee & Treasurer)

He is a bank officer (State Bank of India), who is also a good social worker helping many aged people.

Rev. Vijaya Harvin

(Vice Chairman)

One who became an outstanding person who developed his church campus into wonderful education center.

He also worked with Tribals, during which period he acquired all skills of Administration, Finance and social issues related to Social Work.

He is now the Correspondent of Sudhana Educational Institution very popular in Puttur.

Mr. Ashwin Salins

(Joint Secretary)

By Profession Ashwin is an Accounts & Tax Professional, he was involved and worked along with many NGO’s for almost a decade. He is the grandson of Rev. S. A. Salins who wanted the legacy to be continued by generations, and Ashwin is the right person with knowledge in this field to continue the legacy.

He is a person who insighted that the need for digitalization was required in Dakshedte, to have transparency and better opinion on Dakshedte by everyone.

He is also associated with many NGO’s in delivering the requirement to the needy.

Rev. Mathew Madathil George

(Trustee)

He was born in Kerala, brought up in Coorg, his studies were in Udupi & Dakshina Kannada Districts and later served in Bangalore as Pastor. He was involved in lot of social work as Pastor and helped the needy irrespective of any community/religion. He was inspired by Rev. S. A. Salins to serve the society.
